Micropiling

Micro-Piles are usually used for extension of existing buildings who have been granted FSI or TDR and also for projects where piling is to be executed with minimum vibration to the adjacent existing foundation. Also for RCC retaining walls or shoring piles where there is restriction of space and founding strata is at deep levels or when very hard formations are met with and socketing lengths required are generally of higher order, a resort to micropiles is made.

Micropiles of 200-250-300mm dia are usually drilled by making use of either Percussive Drilling or by Rotary Drilling. However Percussive Drilling is preferred since no core is to be extracted and speed of drilling is nearly 10 times that of rotary. Also in case of fractured rock formations or backfilled strata or non homogeneous strata the use of ODEX technology is made by us to overcome these construction difficulties and have been extremely successful till date.
